The Beginning
Professional career began in 1989, when spotted by television producer, Charlie Hanson performing at the '291 Club' at Hackney Empire, with comedy partner Collette Johson as part of the double act Short, Sharp and Shocking . They were asked to join Curtis and Ishmael, and other up-and-coming Black British comedians for a television pilot sketch show for the BBC inspired by the American sketch show ‘In living Colour’. The show was called ‘The Real McCoy’. Its first episode on BBC 2 in 1991 was watched over 2 million viewers.A huge acheivement for BBC2 at the time. The show ran for 5 seasons. Llewella was integral to the show as a writer and performer and part of the original cast.

Her first full-length theatre piece 'Fruit Salad' was later adapted for BBC Radio 4's afternoon play.She had continued to write for radio. Llewella is also the author of 'The Little Big Woman Book'and has been writing and performing her one woman of the same name since 1993.
In 2020 Llewella received a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media from University College, London
